Sec. 4-7.201. - Traffic Engineer: Office established.

The office of Traffic Engineer is hereby established. The City Engineer shall serve as Traffic Engineer in addition to his other functions and shall exercise the powers and duties with respect to traffic as provided in this chapter.

Sec. 4-7.202. - Traffic Engineer: Powers and duties.

It shall be the general duty of the Traffic Engineer:

(a) To determine the installation, proper timing, and maintenance of traffic control devices and signals;

(b) To conduct engineering analyses of traffic accidents and to devise remedial measures;

(c) To conduct engineering and traffic investigations of traffic conditions;

(d) To cooperate with other City officials in the development of ways and means to improve traffic conditions; and

(e) To carry out the additional powers and duties imposed by the laws of the City.
