Sec. 4-7.1401. - Restricted use of streets.¶
No person shall operate any vehicle with a maximum gross vehicle weight rating of 14,000 pounds or more on any City street, except otherwise provided in this article.

Sec. 4-7.1402. - Signs.¶
(a) Authorized. Whenever any ordinance of the City designates and describes any street, or portion thereof, as a street the use of which is permitted by any vehicle with a maximum gross vehicle weight rating of 14,000 pounds or more, the City Manager is hereby authorized to designate such street by appropriate signs as "Truck Routes" for the movement of vehicles exceeding a maximum gross vehicle weight rating of 14,000 pounds, and no such regulation shall be effective until such signs are erected.
(b) Obedience. Where signs designate any such established truck route, the operator of any vehicle with a maximum gross vehicle weight rating of 14,000 pounds or more shall drive on such route and none other; provided, however, the provisions of this section shall not prohibit the operator of any commercial vehicle exceeding such limit coming from a truck traffic route having ingress and egress by a direct route to and from restricted streets when necessary for the purpose of making pickups or deliveries of goods, wares, and merchandise from or to any building or structure located on such restricted street or for the purpose of delivering materials to be used in the actual and bona fide repair, alteration, remodeling, or construction of any building or structure upon such restricted street for which a building permit has previously been obtained therefor.
(c) Exceptions. The provisions of this section shall not apply to the following:
(1) Passenger buses under the jurisdiction of the Public Utilities Commission of the State; and
(2) Any vehicle owned by a public utility while necessarily in use for the construction, installation, or repair of any public utility.
(d) Designated. Authorized truck routes of the City are set forth in Section 4-7.1601 of Article 16 of this chapter.

Sec. 4-7.1403. - Vehicle load limits on Coast Lane, Fassler Avenue, and Sharp Park Road.¶
It shall be unlawful for any person to operate, or permit to be operated, any vehicle with a gross vehicle weight rating of 14,000 pounds or more on Coast Lane from State Highway Route 1 to Fassler Avenue, on Fassle Avenue from Coast Lane to Crespi Drive, or upon Sharp Park Road from College Drive to Lundy Way.

Sec. 4-7.1404. - Early morning parking.¶
No person shall park, stand, store, or cause to be maintained any commercial vehicle with a maximum gross vehicle weight rating of 10,000 pounds or more on any public street or highway in any commercial zone between the hours of 2:00 a.m. and 6:00 a.m.

Sec. 4-7.1405. - Parking on public property.¶
No person shall park, stand, or store any motor vehicle, semitrailer, trailer, camper, recreational vehicle, or boat on any public property, unless such property has been officially designated for such purpose by the governmental entity which owns the property.
