Nevada City Municipal Code Ch. 2.16 City Attorney

A. The city attorney shall receive as compensation for his services as such attorney the following: a retainer which shall be mutually agreed upon between the city attorney and the city council; said retainer shall be paid in twelve equal installments during each calendar year or part thereof that the city attorney is employed by the city council;

B. The retainer shall be payment in full for drafting ordinances and resolutions, drawing contracts, conveyancing of every description, as well as for all advice given the city council or any member thereof or any other official on matters relating to city affairs.

C. For any other services rendered at the request of the city council, such sums shall be paid to the city attorney as shall be agreed upon between the city council and the city attorney.
