12.08.170 - Hunting and fishing.¶
A. General. No person may hunt, molest, injure, trap, take, net, poison, harm, or kill any animal nor remove, destroy or in any manner disturb the natural habitat of an animal.
B. Exceptions. Subsection A of this section does not apply where the town grants special permission to engage in the prohibited activity.

12.08.180 - Animals.¶
A. No person shall permit a dog, cat or other domesticated animal to enter or be upon any grounds at the Lamorinda Skate Park.
B. No person shall permit a dog, cat or other domesticated animal to enter or be upon any grounds in Hacienda de las Flores, Moraga Commons, Mulholland Open Space Preserve, or Rancho Laguna Park unless the animal is securely leashed and under a person's control.
C. Exceptions.
In Rancho Laguna Park, animals that are under a person's control are permitted without a leash during the following times: (i) April 1 to September 30, daily from park opening to 9:00 a.m. and from 6:00 p.m. to park closing; (ii) October 1 to March 31, daily from park opening to 9:00 a.m. and from 4:00 p.m. to park closing. Notwithstanding the foregoing, at no time shall animals be permitted without a leash in the parking lot area. Additionally, no off-leash animals will be allowed in any section of Rancho Laguna Park during the time of any event approved or sponsored by the town. The town will make an effort to publicize upcoming events/park rentals.
In Mulholland Open Space Preserve, animals that are under a person's control are permitted on the paved portion of Donald Drive without a leash.
During the times and under the control set forth above, the locations described in subsections (C)(1) and (C)(2) above shall be considered "public areas designated for animal exercise" as that phrase is used in Contra Costa County Code Section 416-4.402(c).
D. Off-Leash Rules. Rules governing the use of the off-leash areas described herein shall be adopted by resolution of the town council and conspicuously posted in the subject areas.

12.08.190 - Plants.¶
No person may damage, injure, collect or remove a plant, tree or portion thereof whether living or dead.

12.08.200 - Geological features.¶
No person shall damage, injure, collect or remove earth, rock, sand, gravel, fossil, mineral, feature of cave, or any article or artifact of geological interest or value.

12.08.210 - Property.¶
No person shall cut, carve, paint, mark, paste, or fasten on a tree, fence, wall, building, monument, or other property, a bill, advertisement, directional or informational sign or inscription.

12.08.220 - Special permission.¶
The town may grant special permission to remove, treat, disturb or otherwise affect a plant or animal or geological, historical, archeological or paleontological material for research, interpretive, educational or park operational purposes.

12.08.230 - Trails in Mulholland Open Space Preserve.¶
Any person entering upon the Mulholland Open Space Preserve must stay on designated trails at all times.
