3.50.010 - Statutory authorization.¶
Government Code Section 27750 authorizes the board of supervisors to designate a county officer who shall make financial evaluations of defendants and other persons who are reliable for the payment of reimbursable costs incurred by the County. Government Code Section 27752 authorizes the officer so designated to collect such costs pursuant to specified provisions of state law.

3.50.020 - Designation of financial evaluations officer.¶
The treasurer-tax collector shall be the financial evaluations officer.

3.50.030 - Powers and duties.¶
A. The financial evaluations officer shall have such powers and duties as are set forth in Chapter 15, Part 3, Title 3 of the Government Code, commencing with Section 27750.
B. In cooperation with the county counsel, the financial evaluations officer may do such other collection work on behalf of Mono County and its agencies and departments as may be necessary to collect lawful obligations owing to Mono County or its agencies and departments.
