8.02.180 - Penalties.¶
Any person, whether principal, agent, employee or otherwise, who violates the provisions of this chapter (Sections 8.02.010 through 8.02.170 inclusive) shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and, upon conviction, shall be punishable by a fine of not more than five hundred dollars nor less than one hundred dollars or by imprisonment in the county jail for a term not exceeding six months, or by both such fine and imprisonment. Such person shall be deemed guilty of a separate offense for each and every day during any portion of which any violation of this chapter is committed, continued, or permitted by such person, and shall be punishable as provided herein. Fines levied under this section shall be placed at the disposal of the Modoc county sheriff for the purpose of enforcing the provisions of Section 8.02.080, subsections A and B of this chapter.
