10.04.010 - Speed zones-Established-Regulations.

A. The following restricted speed zones are established upon the county roads set forth in Schedule A, attached to the ordinance codified in this section and incorporated herein by this reference. Schedule A sets forth the respective county roads, the maximum speed permitted within the zone applicable thereto, and the boundaries of the restricted zone, designated as "location," applicable to each respective county road. Regulation California State Highway speed restriction signs shall be place within the rightofway at each boundary of each speedrestriction zone, giving notice of the speed restriction.

B. It is unlawful to operate any motor vehicle at any time within the boundaries of any such speedrestriction zone when such controlling signs are in place denoting the maximum speed permitted, in excess of such maximum permitted speed.

10.04.030 - Through highways-Established-Regulations.

A. Pursuant to Section 21354 of the State Vehicle Code, the following county roads set forth in Schedule B are designated "through highways," and the boundaries of such through highways designated as "location." Stop signs may be erected in conformance to Section 21355 of the Vehicle Code.

B. It is unlawful for the driver of any vehicle, upon approaching any intersection of a through highway set forth in Schedule B, when the intersection is signposted with a stop sign as provided therein, to fail to stop at a limit line, if marked, or otherwise before entering the crosswalk or the near side of the intersection, as set forth in Section 22450 of the Vehicle Code.

10.04.050 - Yield intersections established-Regulations.

Pursuant to Section 21356 of the State Vehicle Code, yield signs may be erected at the entrance to intersections or highways which are not through highways, but such yield signs shall not be erected upon the approaches to more than one of the intersecting streets, and shall not be erected at locations where the entering speed may safely exceed fifteen miles per hour. The driver of any vehicle, upon approaching any yield sign at the entrance to a highway or intersection shall not enter such highway or intersection at a speed exceeding fifteen miles per hour. The driver of any vehicle, upon approaching any yield sign at the entrance to a highway or intersection shall not enter such highway or intersection at a speed exceeding fifteen miles per hour, and shall slow down and stop if necessary, and shall yield the rightofway to other vehicles which have entered the intersection from an intersecting street so as to constitute an immediate hazard, and shall continue to yield the rightofway to such approaching vehicles until such time as he can proceed with reasonable safety, as set forth in Section 21803 of the Vehicle Code.

10.04.060 - Stop intersections-Established-Regulations.

Pursuant to Section 21354 of the State Vehicle Code, stop signs may be erected at one or more entrances to intersections of highways which are not through highways, where the safe approach speed is less than ten miles per hour, or at intersections where the normal rightofway rule is unduly hazardous, as evidenced by accidents or near accidents susceptible to correction by stop signs. Any such intersection so designated as a stop intersection shall be so designated by listing the same on Schedule C of this chapter. The driver of any vehicle, on approaching any entrance to an intersection or highway signposted with a stop sign shall stop in accordance with Section 10.04.030 and Section 22450 of the Vehicle Code.
