Section 1 — Intent

V-104-1.00 - Intent

The intent of this Chapter is to promote public safety, the safety of the individual rider and to comply with Section 115800 of the Health and Safety Code by mandating that certain protective gear be worn while riding a skateboard on areas of public property where skateboard riding is permitted.

Section 2 — Required Protective Gear

V-104-2.00 - Required Protective Gear

It is unlawful for any person to ride a skateboard on areas of public property designated for skateboard use unless such person is wearing a protective helmet, elbow pads and knee pads.
