9.04.010 Definitions¶
"Cardroom" as used in this chapter means any place which is used as a place of business where cards are played for the possibility of monetary or other valuable consideration being won or given to the players or any other person.

It shall be a misdemeanor for any person to operate a cardroom or cause a cardroom to be operated in Mariposa county.

Nothing in this chapter shall affect bona fide charitable events.

Any person violating this chapter shall be punished by six (6) months in the county jail, or five hundred dollars fine, or by both such fine and imprisonment.
