§ 4-3.1201. Designated.¶
Those streets and parts of streets established by resolution of the Council and set forth in this section are hereby declared to be truck traffic routes for the movement of vehicles exceeding a maximum gross weight of three tons:
(a) Arastradero Road;
(b) Edith Road;
(c) El Monte Road from Summerhill Road to Moody Road;
(d) Foothill Expressway;
(e) Fremont Road from Arastradero Road to Edith Road;
(f) Moody Road from El Monte Road to the westerly limits of the Town;
(g) Page Mill Road; and
(h) Stonebrook Road from El Monte Road to Prospect Road.

§ 4-3.1202. Signs—Obedience—Exceptions.¶
(a) Signs. Whenever any resolution of the Town designates and describes any street, or portion thereof, as a street the use of which is permitted by any vehicle exceeding a maximum gross weight limit of three tons, the Chief of Police is hereby authorized to designate such street by appropriate signs as "Truck Traffic Routes" for the movement of vehicles exceeding a maximum gross weight limit of three tons.
(b) Obedience. When any such truck route is established and designated by appropriate signs, the operator of any vehicle exceeding a maximum gross weight limit of three tons shall drive on such route and none other; provided, however, the provisions of this section shall not prohibit the operator of any vehicle exceeding a maximum gross weight of three tons coming from a truck traffic route from having ingress and egress by a direct route to and from restricted streets when necessary for the purpose of making pickups or deliveries of goods, wares, and merchandise from or to any building or structure located on such restricted streets or for the purpose of delivering materials to be used in the actual and bona fide repair, alteration, remodeling, or construction of any building or structure, for which a building permit has previously been obtained which building or structure is located on a restricted street.
(c) Exceptions. The provisions of this section shall not apply to:
(1) Passenger buses under the jurisdiction of the Public Utilities Commission of the State; and
(2) Any vehicle owned by a public utility while necessarily in use in the construction, installation, or repair of any public utility.

§ 4-3.1203. Commercial vehicles prohibited on certain streets—Exceptions.¶
(a) Signs. Whenever any resolution of the Town designates and describes any street, or portion thereof, as a street the use of which is prohibited by any commercial vehicle, the Chief of Police shall erect and maintain appropriate signs on those streets affected by such resolution.
(b) Establishment. Those streets and parts of streets established by resolution of the Council are hereby declared to be streets the use of which is prohibited by any commercial vehicle.
(c) Exceptions. The provisions of this section shall not apply to passenger buses under the jurisdiction of the Public Utilities Commission of the State.

§ 4-3.1204. Commercial vehicles prohibited on Junipero Serra Freeway—Exceptions.¶
(a) The operation of any vehicle with a maximum gross weight in excess of three tons upon the Junipero Serra Freeway (Interstate Route 280) within the Town is hereby prohibited; provided, however, the provisions of this section shall not prohibit the operation of a vehicle with a maximum gross weight in excess of three tons upon a portion of said freeway when such vehicle is coming from or going to a truck traffic route and its operation on said freeway is necessary for the purpose of making pickups or deliveries of goods, wares, and merchandise from or to any building or structure located on said freeway or on a restricted street or for the purpose of delivering materials to be used in the actual and bona fide repair, alteration, remodeling, or construction of any building or structure, for which a building permit has previously been obtained, which building or structure is located on said freeway or restricted street.
(b) The provisions of this section shall not apply to:
(1) Passenger buses under the jurisdiction of the Public Utilities Commission of the State; and
(2) Any vehicle owned by a public utility while necessarily in use in the construction, installation, or repair of any public utility.
