§ 4-3.101. Scope.¶
For the purposes of this chapter, unless otherwise apparent from the context, certain words and phrases used in this chapter are defined as set forth in this article.

§ 4-3.102. Vehicle Code definitions.¶
Whenever any words or phrases used in this chapter are not defined in this article but are defined in the Vehicle Code of the State, and amendments thereto, such definitions are hereby incorporated in this article and shall be deemed to apply to such words and phrases as though set forth in this article in full.

§ 4-3.103. Designated.¶
Curb means the lateral boundary of the roadway, whether such curb shall be marked by curbing construction or not be so marked. "Curb" shall not include the line dividing the roadway of a street from parking strips in the center of a street, nor from tracks or rights-of-way of public utility companies.
Divisional island means a raised island located in the roadway and separating opposing or conflicting streams of traffic.
Driver's license means a license to operate motor vehicles, duly issued by the Department of Motor Vehicles of the State, and shall include both an operator's and a chauffeur's license.
Farm tractor means a tractor which may be used on a highway to draw a farm trailer carrying produce or carrying other implements of husbandry between farms or to a processing or handling point and returning with or without the trailer, but which otherwise is itself an implement of husbandry.
Implement of husbandry means a vehicle which is used exclusively in the conduct of agricultural operations. "Implement of husbandry" shall not include a vehicle which is designed primarily for the transportation of persons or property on a highway.
Motor-assisted bicycle means a standard bicycle, designed primarily to be driven by human motive power, to which an auxiliary motor of not exceeding one-half gross brake horsepower has been attached.
Motorcycle means any motor vehicle, other than a tractor, having a seat or saddle for the use of the rider, designed to travel on not more than three wheels in contact with the ground, and weighing less than 1500 pounds, except that four wheels may be in contact with the ground when two of the wheels are a functional part of a sidecar.
Motor-driven cycle means any motorcycle, including motor scooters, with a motor which produces less than 15 gross brake horsepower, but not including motor-assisted bicycles.
Motor vehicle means a vehicle which is self-propelled.
Parkway means that portion of a street other than a roadway or a sidewalk.
Pedestrian means any person afoot.
Police officer means every officer of such agency as may be acting as the Police Department of the Town or any officer authorized to direct or regulate traffic or to make arrests for violations of traffic laws.
Private road or driveway means a way or place in private ownership and used for vehicular travel by the owner and those having express or implied permission from the owner but not by other members of the public.
Stop, when required, means complete cessation of movement.
Vehicle Code means the Vehicle Code of the State.
