2.03.170 - Appointment of employees.

Each individual member of the Long Beach City Council shall have the authority to appoint, suspend, remove and discipline the employee or employees of the Legislative Department who serve on his or her personal staff. The Mayor, with the concurrence of the City Council, shall have authority to appoint, suspend, remove and discipline the employees of the Legislative Department who do not serve on the personal staff of any individual Councilmember.

2.03.180 - Administration of department.

The Legislative Department shall be administered and operated in accordance with and pursuant to the applicable provisions of the City Charter and the ordinances, resolutions and administrative regulations adopted, approved or promulgated by the City Council.
