§ 10.24.010. Determination of speed limits by ordinance.¶
In accordance with the Vehicle Code of the state and upon the basis of an engineering and traffic survey, the city council may by ordinance from time to time determine the prima facie speed limit for certain streets in the city. Copies of ordinances setting the speed limits shall be maintained in the office of the city clerk but shall not be codified. The speed limits set by such ordinances shall be effective when signs are erected giving notice of the speed limits.
