Sec. 40-179. - Defined.¶
As used in this division, the term "mobile vending vehicle" means any vehicle from which goods, wares, merchandise, fruits, vegetables, food stuffs, or prepared meals or food is sold, displayed, solicited, or offered for sale, exchange, or barter.

Sec. 40-180. - Simultaneously flashing signals—Required.¶
Except as otherwise provided in this division, no person operating a mobile vending vehicle shall sell, display, solicit, or offer for sale, barter, or exchange goods, wares, merchandise, vegetables, fruits, food stuffs, or prepared meals upon the streets of the City unless such mobile vending vehicle is equipped with a device which will enable both rear turn signal indicators and both front turn signal indicators to flash simultaneously.

Sec. 40-181. - Same—Use while parked or standing.¶
Except as otherwise provided in this division, no person shall park or stand any mobile vending vehicle on any street in this City without placing in operation the lighting device required by section 40-180.

Sec. 40-182. - Parking restrictions and exceptions.¶
(a) Except as otherwise provided by this article, no person shall stand or park any mobile vending vehicle on any portion of any street in this City; except that such mobile vending vehicle may stand or park at the request of a bona fide purchaser for a period of time not to exceed ten minutes.
(b) A mobile vending vehicle may park or stand for periods in excess of that prescribed above upon obtaining a written permit to do so from the City Traffic Engineer which shall designate the specific location in which the mobile vending vehicle shall park or stand.
(c) The provisions of this article shall not apply to any persons delivering articles from a store or other fixed place of business or distribution upon order of or by agreement with a customer.
