Sec. 2-226. - Action; filing.¶
Any action to contest or review any decision of the City, its City Council, committees, commissions, agencies, or officers, shall be filed with a court of competent jurisdiction not later than the 90th day following the date on which the decision becomes final, unless this Code or State law requires otherwise.

Sec. 2-227. - Decision defined.¶
As used in section 2-226, the term "decision" means an adjudicatory administrative decision made, after hearing, suspending, demoting, or dismissing an officer or employee, or approving, revoking, or denying an application for a permit, license, or an application for any retirement benefit or allowance.

Sec. 2-228. - Notice.¶
With respect to decisions rendered by the City and governed by this article, the City shall provide notice to the party that the time within which judicial review must be sought is governed by this article, and the provisions of the Code of Civil Procedure § 1094.6.
