§ 2.40.010. Enforcement of state law by city.¶
Pursuant to the authority granted by state law, the city assumes responsibility for the enforcement of Part 1, commencing with Section 17000, of Division 13 of the Health and Safety Code of the state, known as the Employee Housing Act, and the regulations adopted thereunder by the commission of housing and community development.

§ 2.40.020. County authorized to act for city.¶
The director of health services of the county and the authorized employees of his department shall administer and enforce this chapter and the state law and regulations referred to in Section 2.40.010 for and in behalf of the city, except that the building inspector of the city shall administer and enforce all laws, rules and regulations relating to the construction of labor camps.

§ 2.40.030. Fees.¶
(a) Every person applying for a permit to operate a labor camp shall pay fees to the county director of health services as follows:
(1) Issuance fee, permit to operate fee, and health inspection fee:

(2) An amended permit fee of ten dollars for any transfer of ownership or possession shall be paid to the county director of health services.
(3) An amended permit fee of ten dollars shall be paid to the county director of health services for any increase in the number of employees to be housed.
(4) No reinspection fee shall be required.
(b) The fees for a permit to construct a labor camp shall be those prescribed by applicable building codes and city ordinances relating to the construction of buildings and shall be paid to the building inspector.
