§ 2.10.010. Enforcement duty.

The health officer of the county of Monterey and the duly appointed officers and employees of the Monterey County department of public health are appointed and designated as the officer or employee having the duty to enforce the provisions of Title 8, Health and Sanitation (Chapters 8.04 through 8.40, inclusive) of this code, and Title 15, Water and Sewers (Chapters 15.04 through 15.52, inclusive) of this code, and the provisions of Chapter 3 (commencing with Section 66796) of Title 7.3 of the Government Code, relating to solid waste management.

§ 2.10.020. Power of arrest.

The health officer of the county of Monterey and the duly appointed officers and employees of the Monterey County department of public health shall have the right and power to arrest any person or persons who may violate the provisions of this code mentioned in Section 2.10.010.
