§ 2.24.010. Transfer of duties from city to county.

The city council elects that the duties of assessing property and collecting taxes provided by law to be performed by the assessor and tax collector of the city shall be transferred to and be performed by the county assessor and the county tax collector pursuant to Section 51500 to 51519, inclusive, of the Government Code of the state of California.

§ 2.24.020. Agreement with county.

The mayor of the city is authorized and directed to enter into an agreement with the board of supervisors of the county which shall provide for the transfer of the city’s tax functions, as set out in Section 2.24.010, and shall provide for the compensation to be paid by the city to the county for said services.
