Kern County Municipal Code Art. II Applicability

A. This chapter is applicable to county service areas and other districts in the county of Kern, state of California, which are under the direction of the board of supervisors and provide sewer service or are required to monitor sewage waste discharges mentioned in this article.

B. In addition to the areas or districts mentioned in subsection (A) of this section, the board of supervisors may by order declare this chapter to be applicable to all or part of the area within the boundaries of any county service area, community services district, or other district, if the board finds that such district is conducting a program of monitoring waste discharges pursuant to or consistent with orders of the Regional Water Quality Control Board. By such order, or other orders adopted from time to time, the board may authorize suspension of operation of those provisions of this chapter as may be determined to be redundant relative to the monitoring program, ordinances or regulations of such district.
