Inyo County Municipal Code Ch. 2.28 Jury Commissioner

Procedure, the county board of supervisors consents to the establishment of the office of jury commissioner.

The appointment of a person to the office of jury commissioner of the county shall be made by the judge of the superior court of the county and shall serve at is pleasure, reserving to the county board of supervisors any discretion reserved to the board under Section 204(a) of the Code of Civil Procedure of the state as said law appertains to the appointment of individual successive jury commissioners.

The county jury commissioner is to act in this official capacity as jury commissioner with salary to be set by the board.

The county jury commissioner shall assist in the selection of justice court juries in the discretion of the judge of the county superior court, and the board of supervisors is in agreement with the exercise of said discretion.
