Chapter 2.32 — PUBLIC GUARDIAN

§ 2.32.010. Office created.

Pursuant to the provisions of the California Welfare and Institutions Code Sections 8000 through 8015, the office of public guardian is created and will continue in existence until terminated by ordinance. The public administrator is designated to be the ex officio public guardian and all her authority shall cease upon termination of the office and shall vest in her successor. § 2.32.020. Bond.

The public guardian shall file an official bond in such amount as may be fixed, from time to time, by the board of supervisors, which bond will inure to the joint benefit of the several guardianship or conservatorship estates and the county and the public guardian shall not be required to file bonds in individual cases.

§ 2.32.030. Moneys disposition.

The public guardian shall deposit all funds that come into his/her custody in a manner consistent with the provisions of Probate Code Sections 2940 and 7640, as those sections may be amended. (Ord. 217 § 3, 1972; Ord. 1020 § 3, 1999)
