The City Clerk shall before taking office furnish and file with the

Mayor a good and sufficient bond in the penal sum of Five Thousand Dollars ($5,000.00) for the faithful discharge of his duties, such bond to be first approved by the City Council. (Ord.537)

2-3.1 City Clerk Compensation. Pursuant to Government Code Section 36517 the City Clerk¶

shall receive a compensation fixed by resolution.
