8.34.010 - Purposes.¶
The purposes of this Chapter are to improve the selection and training of public safety dispatchers employed by the town and to permit the town to qualify to receive aid from the state of California under the provisions of Section 13522 of the California Penal Code.

8.34.020 - Adoption of standards.¶
During any period when Hillsborough is receiving aid from the state of California pursuant to Penal Code Section 13522, the town and its public safety forces will adhere to such standards for recruitment and training of public safety dispatchers as may be adopted and published by the California Commission on Peace Officer Standards and Training pursuant to Section 13510(c) of the California Penal Code.

8.34.030 - Inquiries.¶
During any period when the town is receiving aid from the state of California pursuant to Penal Code Section 13522, the Commission on Peace Officer Standards and Training or its representatives may make appropriate, reasonable and necessary inquiries to determine whether the town is adhering to the standards for recruitment and training established by this chapter.
