Editor's note— Prior to the reenactment of Chapter 15.09 by Ord. No. 328, § 2, adopted November 12, 2019, Ord. No. 254, § 2, adopted November 9, 2010, repealed the former Chapter 15.09, §§ 15.09.010—15.09.050 in its entirety, which pertained to the California Existing Building Code and derived from Ord. No. 233, § III, adopted December 11, 2007, and Ord. No. 245, § 1, adopted February 10, 2009.

Except as provided in this Chapter, those certain Building Codes known and designated as the 2025 California Existing Building Code, California Code of Regulations, Title 24, Part 10, based on the 2024 International Existing Building as published by the International Code Council are hereby adopted by reference and shall become the existing Building Code of the City for regulating the construction, alteration, movement, enlargement, replacement, repair, equipment, use, occupancy, location, maintenance, removal and demolition of every building or structure or any appurtenances connected or attached to such buildings or structures throughout the City. One copy of all the above codes and standards therefore are on file in the office of the Building Department and are made available for public inspection.
