3.06.020 Elected Officials¶
In January of each year, the board of supervisors shall consider adjusting the salaries and benefits of elected officials of the county. Any adjustment in the compensation of members of the board of supervisors shall be done only by ordinance. 3.06.021 Salary For Members Of The Board Of Supervisors¶
As of February 13, 2021, the biweekly salary for members of the board of supervisors of the County of Glenn shall be $1,608.00. The Chair of the board of supervisors shall receive an additional biweekly stipend of fifty ($50) dollars. In times of fiscal emergency, as determined by the Board of Supervisors, the Board of Supervisors may reduce their salaries and refuse any cost-of-living adjustments on either a permanent or temporary basis by resolution.

Commencing on January 2, 2022, and on the second day of January of each year thereafter, the salary of all members of the board of supervisors shall be adjusted upward, without any further action of the board, commensurate with the percentage increase of the cost-of-living adjustment (COLA) established by the United
States Social Security Administration.

Upon taking office, newly elected department heads shall be placed on the same Step as the defeated incumbent or on Step A if no incumbent was involved in the election. (Ord. 1186 § 4, 2006.)
3.06.030 Appointed Department Heads¶
In June of each year the Board of Supervisors shall consider adjusting the salaries and benefits of appointed department heads. (Ord. 1043 § 2, (Part) 1994; Ord. 985 § 2, 1991; Ord. 951 § 2 (part), 1989; Ord. 823 § 2 (part), 1985.)

Each year the board of supervisors, by resolution, may adjust the salaries and benefits of all employees of the county not represented by an established bargaining unit.
