Fresno Municipal Code Art. 28 Malicious Mischief

No person shall make or cause to be made any false alarm of fire by means of the fire alarm telegraph system, by telephone, telegraph, or by any other means. (Orig. Ord. 2194).

No person shall make or cause to be made any report, statement, or representation to any peace officer, to the City Attorney, or any of his assistants or deputies, or to any officer or employee of the Fire Department that any crime has been committed, or concerning any crime which has been committed or purportedly committed, or concerning any emergency, purported emergency, or other situation which normally results in or requires any action to be taken by any of the aforementioned persons with respect thereto, when in fact such report, statement, or representation is false and known to be false by such person. No person required by any provision of this Code or ordinance of this City to furnish a report or to make a statement shall furnish therein any false, untrue, or misleading information or statement relating to any information required by any provision of this code or ordinance of this City to be made or furnished when such person knows the same to be false, untrue, or misleading.
