Sec. 10-26. - Office created.

An office to be known as chief of the fire department is hereby created.

Sec. 10-27. - Employment of assistance during emergency.

The chief of the fire department, acting at any fire or other emergency where his direction or supervision shall be required, is hereby authorized, and it shall be his duty, whenever proper or necessary, to obtain the assistance of any person in the prosecution of his work at such fire or other emergency. Such person shall be deemed to be in the employ of the city and entitled to all the compensation and other benefits of employees engaged in similar work for the city.

Sec. 10-28. - Refusing, etc., to obey orders of chief.

Any person who refuses or neglects to obey all lawful orders or requirements of the chief of the fire department shall be guilty of a misdemeanor.
