2.08.150 - Established.¶
A. Pursuant to the provisions of Section 36516(a)(1) of the California Government Code, each councilmember shall receive as salary the sum of six hundred dollars ($600.00) per month. Such salary shall be payable in the same manner as salaries are paid to other officers and employees of the city.
B. The salaries set forth in this section shall be exclusive of any amount payable to councilmembers as reimbursement for actual and necessary expenses incurred in the performance of city duties.
The city shall pay the premium for basic health insurance coverage for councilmembers in the same amount and for the same coverages as provided for full-time, regular city employees.
The city shall pay the premium for supplemental life insurance coverage for councilmembers in the same amount and for the same coverages as provided for management employees.
