2.64.010 - Filing fee.¶
Pursuant to Section 22843 of the Elections Code of the state, a filing fee of twenty-five dollars ($25.00) is required to cover the cost of processing a candidate's nomination papers for elective office.

2.64.020 - Payable.¶
The twenty-five dollar ($25.00) filing fee shall be payable upon the filing of such nomination papers with the city clerk.

2.64.030 - General municipal election.¶
Pursuant to Section 36503.5 of the Government Code, the general municipal election of the city currently held on the second Tuesday of April in even-numbered years shall be changed and held on the first Tuesday following the first Monday in November of even-numbered years commencing in November, 1990.

2.64.040 - Terms of office extended.¶
The terms of office of city officeholders elected to office in April 1986 and 1988 are extended to and including the first Tuesday following the general municipal election to be held in November, 1990.

2.64.050 - Terms of office—State law regulater.¶
The terms of city officers elected in November 1990 and in each subsequent general municipal election shall be in accordance with state law for a term of four years from Tuesday succeeding their election and until their successors are elected and qualified.
