2.28.010 - Established—Activities included.

A department of public works is established which shall include all activities pertaining to the office of city engineer, comprising the supervision of all work in connection with streets, roads, highways, curbs, gutters, sewers, water lines, sidewalks, rubbish and garbage, street lighting, surveying, mapping and such other work as normally comes under the direction of the city engineer.

2.28.020 - Divisions included.

The department of public works includes the division of administration—engineering, sewage disposal, streets and storm drains, water, sanitary sewers, corporation yard, parks, buildings and grounds, and refuse collection and refuse disposal.

2.28.030 - Director of public works.

The director of public works shall be appointed by the city manager, with the approval of the city council, and may receive such salary as may be determined by resolution of the council.
