2.48.010 - Officer training—Desire for state aid declared.¶
The city declares that it desires to qualify to receive aid from the state under the provisions of Chapter 1 of Title 4, Part 4 of the California Penal Code, being Section 13500 et seq.

2.48.020 - Same—Standards.¶
Pursuant to Section 13522 of the California Penal Code, the city while receiving aid from the state pursuant to such Chapter 1 will adhere to the standards for recruitment and training established by the California Commission on Peace Officer Standards and Training.

2.48.030 - Selection and training standards of public safety dispatchers.¶
A. Adherence to State Standards. Pursuant to Section 13510(d), Chapter 1, the Coachella police department will adhere to standards for recruitment and training established by the California Commission on Peace Officer Standards and Training (P.O.S.T.).
B. Authority to Make Inquiries. Pursuant to Section 13512, Chapter 1, the commission and its representatives may make such inquiries as deemed appropriate by the commission to ascertain that the Coachella police department's public safety dispatch personnel adhere to the standards and training established by the Commission on Peace Officers Standards and Training.
