2.05.010 - Monthly Compensation.

Each member of the City Council shall receive compensation in the amount of four hundred seventy dollars ($470.00) per month for each full month of a Council Member's term of office, provided however, no compensation shall be paid for any month in which the Council fails to hold at least one regular public meeting.

2.05.020 - Reimbursement of Expenses.

Annually, with the approval of City and Clayton Redevelopment Agency budgets, the City Council and the Agency, as the case may be, shall establish regulations and guidelines for the reimbursement of actual and necessary expenses incurred by Council persons and Agency members in the performance of their official duties including, but not necessarily be limited to, telephone, tolls, mileage for use of personal vehicle on City or Agency business, meals, parking, registration for local, regional or state meetings, all relating to City or Agency business. All expenses shall be submitted on proper voucher forms accompanied by receipts, invoices, or other documentation.

2.05.030 - Council Benefits Program.

Effective as of January 1, 1999, Council Members are termed "employees" with their prevailing stipend to be salary for purposes of participation in a benefits program allowing optional City Council Member participation with PERS paid by the City, and all other employee benefits, such as individual or family medical and/or dental insurance and individual life insurance and deferred compensation, to be paid by and at the cost of the Council Member.
