3.48.010 - Imposition of fee.

Pursuant to Government Code Section 29550, the board of supervisors imposes a fee on every special district, school district and city equal to the administrative costs (as determined by the board) for booking or processing at the county jail of every person arrested by an employee of such city, special district or school district and brought to the county jail for booking or detention. Such fees shall be payable on account of every booking or processing of a person at the county jail on or after July 1, 1990.

3.48.020 - Amount of fee.

The board sets the fee imposed by this chapter at seventy-one dollars and fifty-one cents per person booked or processed at the Calaveras County Jail. Based upon the report prepared by David M. Griffith & Assoc., Ltd., on AB 2286 for fiscal year 1993-94, the board finds that this fee amount represents the reasonable costs of providing the services for which the fee is charged.

3.48.030 - Collection of booking fees.

A. Quarterly, the auditor/controller shall submit an invoice to every city, special district and school district for the criminal justice administrative fees owed by such entity for the prior three months and for fees not invoiced for previous months.
