16.07.010 - Purpose.

The purpose of this chapter is to codify the policies of the county in relation to parcel merger and vested tentative maps. These policies, which have been incorporated into the general plan, eliminate the need for the county to adopt special application provisions related to merged parcels and vested tentative maps.

16.07.020 - Merged parcels—Prohibited by county policy.

(§ 66451.10 et seq., § 66451.25 et seq.)

No parcel which was legally created under the provisions of the subdivision ordinance in effect at the time of its creation as specified in Section 16.01.100 shall be merged by any action of the county unless so requested by the record owner of the subject property pursuant to this title.

16.07.030 - Vested tentative maps—Incorporated by county policy.

(§ 66498.1 et seq.)

All tentative maps approved pursuant to this title are deemed to be vested tentative maps, and no conditions, other than those incorporated at the time of tentative subdivision approval shall be imposed upon any final or parcel map at the time of its recordation.

16.07.040 - Vested tentative maps—Option with subdivider.

It is recognized that in certain situations, a subdivider may wish to identify a tentative map as a vested tentative map. If the subdivider finds that it is to his advantage to make such an identification, the subdivider shall so indicate on both the tentative map and the application for subdivision.
