8.36.010 - Definition.

"Sludge" means the accumulated matter produced in the treatment of waste water. This includes liquid, semi-liquid and solid material that has been mechanically dewatered or air dried.

8.36.020 - Application of sludge prohibited.

It shall be unlawful for any person, firm or corporation, or the agent or employee of any person, firm or corporation, to apply, use, place, maintain, treat or store sludge, for any purpose whatsoever anywhere within the city except at a sewage or wastewater treatment facility.

8.36.030 - Penalty for violation.

Any person, firm or corporation, or the agent or employee of any such person, firm or corporation, who violates any provision of this chapter shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and, upon conviction thereof, shall be punishable by a fine of not less than one hundred dollars nor more than three hundred dollars, or thirty days in the city or county jail, or both such a fine and imprisonment.
