2.74.010 Created--Director of Parks, Recreation and Waterfront Department.¶

A Parks, Recreation and Waterfront Department is created which shall be under the direction of the Director of Parks, Recreation and Waterfront. (Ord. 6654-NS § 2, 2001; Ord. 6290-NS § 2 (part), 1995)

2.74.020 Composition.¶

The Parks, Recreation and Waterfront Department shall consist of:

A. The Office of the Director;

B. The Parks Division;

C. The Marina Division;

D. The Camps & Recreation Division;

E. Such other divisions as the operation of the department may require. (Ord. 6654-NS § 2, 2001; Ord. 6290-NS § 2 (part), 1995)

2.74.030 Director of Parks, Recreation and Waterfront Department--Control and supervisory authority.¶

The Director of the Parks, Recreation and Waterfront Department shall be responsible for the supervision and control of all divisions of the department and for the performance of the functions herein assigned to the department. (Ord. 6654-NS § 2, 2001)

2.74.040 Functions.¶

The functions of the Parks, Recreation and Waterfront Department shall include:

A. Landscaping and maintenance of parks and all other public areas;

B. Maintenance and operation of the Berkeley Marina;

C. Administration and management of the camps and recreation programs;

D. The performance of such other functions as may be assigned by the City Manager, or prescribed by ordinance of the Council or by applicable state law. (Ord. 6654-NS § 2, 2001)
