§ 2.04.010. Council meetings—Time.

There shall be two regular meetings of the city council during each calendar month. Such meetings shall be held at the hour of seven p.m. on the first and third Monday of each calendar month.

§ 2.04.020. General municipal elections.

Beginning with the election on June 7, 2022, the general municipal election for the Bell city council shall be held on the date of the statewide primary elections held in even-numbered years.

§ 2.04.030. Council reorganization.

Beginning with the election on March 3, 2020, the council shall reorganize and select one of its members as mayor, and one as mayor pro tempore, on the following occasions:

A. In even numbered years, when designated by applicable provisions of the Government Code at the time the city council certifies the results of the municipal election; and

B. In odd numbered years at the second regular meeting held during the month of March; or

C. At such other times as a majority of the council shall so order.

§ 2.04.040. Council meetings—Place.

The council chambers in the City Hall, located at 6330 Pine Avenue, within the city, is designated as the official meeting place of the city council.

§ 2.04.050. Councilmanic salaries.

The salary of each member of the city council shall be as adopted by resolution of the city council.
