Sec. 2-171. - Salary; bond.¶
(a) For and during the term of office of the city treasurer and for and during each succeeding term of office of the city treasurer until otherwise provided in accordance with law, the salary of the city treasurer shall be such amount as set by the city council from time to time. Such salary shall comprise the entire compensation of the city treasurer as such. All fees collected by the city treasurer as such city treasurer, except as provided by law, shall be forthwith paid into the treasury of the city.
(b) For and during the term of office of the city treasurer, until otherwise provided in accordance with law, the city treasurer shall furnish the city with a proper bond in the amount of $500,000.00, in the form and manner required by law, to be paid for by the city.
