10.16.010 - Signs to be erected.

A. Whenever any ordinance or resolution of this city designates and describes any intersection at which vehicles are required to stop at one or more entrances thereto, the chief of police shall erect and maintain stop signs, as follows:

A stop sign shall be erected at those entrances of intersections where a stop is required, and at any railroad grade crossing designated as such. Every such sign shall conform with and shall be placed as provided in Section 471 of the Vehicle Code.

B. Whenever any ordinance or resolution of this city designates and describes any intersection at which vehicles are required to yield the right-of-way to other vehicles which have entered the intersection from an intersecting street or which are approaching so closely on the intersecting street as to constitute an immediate hazard, the chief of police shall erect and maintain yield right-of-way signs at or near the entrance to the intersection where motorists are required to yield the right-of-way. Every such sign shall conform with and shall be placed as provided in Section 471.1 of the Vehicle Code.

10.16.020 - Applicability of provisions.

A. Stop Intersections. The provisions of this chapter apply at one or more entrances to the intersections as such entrances and intersections are described in Section 10.16.040

B. Yield Right-of-way Intersections. Those street intersections described in Section 10.16.050 are declared to be intersections where motorists are required to yield right-of-way to other vehicles which have entered the intersection from an intersecting street or which are approaching so closely on the intersecting street as to constitute an immediate hazard.

10.16.030 - Stop when emerging from alley or driveway.

The driver of a vehicle emerging from an alley, driveway or building shall stop such vehicle immediately prior to driving onto a sidewalk or into the sidewalk area extending across any alley way.

10.16.040 - Stop intersections designated.

In accordance with the provisions of Section 10.16.020A and when signs are erected giving notice thereof, drivers of vehicles shall stop at the entrance or entrances to those intersections described as follows:

West side of "A" Street at intersection with 6th Street;

West side of 10th Street at intersection with "B" Street;

East side of 10th Street at intersection with "B" Street;

North side of "C" Street at intersection with 11th Street;

North side of "D" Street at intersection with 11th Street;

South side of "D" Street at intersection with 11th Street;

East side of 11th Street at intersection with "F" Street;

North side of "G" Street at intersection with 12th Street;

North side of "H" Street at intersection with 12th Street;

North side of "I" Street at intersection with 12th Street;

South side of "F" Street at intersection with 9th Street;

South side of "G" Street at intersection with 9th Street;

South side of "H" Street at intersection with 9th Street;

South side of "I" Street at intersection with 9th Street;

North side of "F" Street at intersection with 9th Street;

North side of "G" Street at intersection with 9th Street;

North side of "H" Street at intersection with 9th Street;

North side of "I" Street at intersection with 9th Street.

10.16.050 - Yield right-of-way intersections designated.

In accordance with the provisions of Section 10.16.020B and when signs are erected giving notice thereof, drivers of vehicles approaching the intersections herein described shall yield the right-of-way to other vehicles which have entered the intersection from an intersecting street or which are approaching so closely on the intersecting street as to constitute an immediate hazard.

East side of 9th Street at intersection with "B" Street;

West side of 8th Street at intersection with "B" Street;

East side of 8th Street at intersection with "B" Street;

East side of 6th Street at intersection with "B" Street;

East side of 5th Street at intersection with "B" Street;

West side of 5th Street at intersection with "B" Street;

South side of "D" Street at intersection with 6th Street;

West side of 10th Street at intersection with "F" Street;

East side of 10th Street at intersection with "F" Street;

East side of 10th Street at intersection with "I" Street;

West side of 10th Street at intersection with "I" Street;

West side of 11th Street at intersection with "I" Street;

East side of 11th Street at intersection with "I" Street;

South side of "F" Street at intersection with 6th Street;

South side of "G" Street at intersection with 6th Street;

West side of 8th Street at intersection with "H" Street;

East side of 8th Street at intersection with "H" Street;

East side of Redinger Way at intersection with "H" Street;

West side of Redinger Way at intersection with "H" Street;

West side of Redinger Way at intersection with "I" Street;

East side of Maple at intersection with "H" Street;

West side of Maple at intersection with "I" Street;

East side of 10th Street at intersection with "I" Street;

West side of 10th Street at intersection with "I" Street;

East side of 11th Street at intersection with "I" Street;

North side of "I" Street at intersection with Redinger Way;

West side of 8th Street at intersection with "I" Street.
