2.20.010 - Qualification to receive state aid.¶
The city council of the city of Tehachapi declares that it desires to qualify to receive aid from the state of California under the provisions of Section 13522, Chapter 1 of Title 4, Part 4 of the California Penal Code.

2.20.020 - Recruitment and training standards.¶
A. Pursuant to Sections 13510.1 and 13512 of the California Penal Code, the Tehachapi Police Department will adhere to the standards for recruitment and training established by the commission on peace officer standards and training.
B. Pursuant to Sections 13510(c) and 13512 of the California Penal Code, the city of Tehachapi shall adhere to the standards for recruitment and training established by the commission on peace officer standards and training for recruitment and training standards of public safety dispatchers. The city's public safety dispatchers shall participate in the public safety dispatcher program offered by the commission on peace officer standards and training.

2.20.030 - Inquiries by the commission.¶
The commission and its representatives may make such inquiries as deemed necessary to ascertain that the peace officer personnel of the Tehachapi police department adhere to the standards for recruitment and training established by the California Commission on Peace Officer Standards and Training.
