2.12.010 - Office created.¶
There is created the office of chief building inspector for the city.

2.12.020 - Appointment and removal.¶
The chief building inspector shall be appointed to the office and removed from office by the city manager.

2.12.030 - Powers and duties.¶
The duties of the chief building inspector shall be to enforce and administer all building, plumbing and electrical codes now or later adopted by the city, and to exercise such other powers and perform such other duties as may be conferred upon and assigned to him by other ordinances of the city, or by the city council.

2.12.040 - Deputies—Appointment—Powers and duties.¶
The city manager may appoint one or more deputies to the chief building inspector, who shall have the same duties and powers as the chief building inspector, subject to his control and direction.

2.12.050 - Compensation.¶
Compensation of the chief building inspector and any deputies shall be fixed by the city council.
