9.42.010 - Failing to Pay Transportation Charge Prohibited; Evidence¶

A. Any person who obtains transportation within this city, without paying therefor, with intent to defraud the driver, proprietor or owner of any taxi or vehicle of conveyance, is guilty of a misdemeanor.

B. Evidence that such person leaves the tax or vehicle without paying or offering to pay for such transportation, shall be prima facie evidence that such person obtained transportation with intent to defraud the driver, proprietor or owner.
