Solana Beach Municipal Code Art. I Decreased Speed Limits

When it has been determined upon the basis of an engineering and traffic survey that the speed permitted by state law outside of business and residence districts is greater than is reasonable or safe under the conditions found to exist upon any street, the city council may by resolution declare that the prima facie speed limit is set at a lower limit, and such speed limit shall become effective when signs are erected giving notice thereof.
