9-70.010 Purpose.

The purpose of this Article is to promote the development of transportation demand management (TDM) programs at employers' worksites with one hundred or more employees during the morning peak traffic period to reduce traffic impacts and improve air quality within the City, and to assure compliance by the City with the Santa Clara County Congestion Management Agency's Congestion Management Program. 9-70.020 Implementation.

(a) For purposes of Government Code Section 65089.3, the implementation of trip reduction and travel demand requirements within the City of Saratoga shall be through the administration, implementation, and enforcement by the Bay Area Air Quality Management District of District Regulation 13, Rule 1 ("Trip Reduction Requirements for Large Employers").

(b) The City of Saratoga shall certify annually to the Congestion Management Agency that subsection (a) of this Section remains in full force and effect. (Ord. 71-137 § 2 (part), 1994)
