Sec. B32-17. - Special use for the Matadero Creek Multi-Use Trail.

(a) The Matadero Creek Multi-Use Trail is a multi-use trail, meaning pedestrians (including strollers and wheelchairs) and bicycles are allowed.

(b) No person shall operate a skateboard, in line skate or other non-motorized wheeled device within or on the Matadero Creek Multi-Use Trail.

(c) No person shall operate a bicycle within or on the Matadero Creek Multi-Use Trail in a manner that is:

(1) Negligent, unsafe or reckless, or in any way that endangers any person or property;

(2) At a speed greater than 15 miles per hour or at a speed that is greater than is reasonable considering weather, visibility, current traffic on, and the surface and width of the trail, or at a speed which endangers the safety of persons or property;

(3) In violation of any applicable provision of the California Vehicle Code.

(d) A person operating a bicycle on the Matadero Creek Multi-Use Trail must yield to all pedestrians and wear an ANSI, Snell, or other state-approved helmet for head protection.

The Matadero Creek Pedestrian Trail is open only to pedestrians.
