Sec. B14-33.1. - Moving vehicles, vessels, and other motorized devices.

(a) No person shall drive, operate, or propel any device, Drone, Motorized Device, Motor Vehicle, Vessel, or Model Craft of any type or design:

(1) On any trail or in any Park Area unless designated for such use by the Director, or by Valid Permit issued by the Director; or

(2) With respect to any Motor Vehicle, Vessel, or Motorized Devices, on any Park road where Motor Vehicles, Vessels, or other Motorized Devices are prohibited, with the exception of authorized vehicles or Valid Permit issued by the Director.

(b) Mobility aids and other power-driven mobility devices approved for use pursuant to the Americans with Disabilities Act ("ADA-approved mobility device") are exempt from subsection (a) of this Section when operated by a Disabled Person assigned to the particular ADA-approved mobility device, when the device does not create a safety hazard (based on device size, road or trail size, road or trail conditions, road or trail slope or other factors), and when it is driven according to operation standards for any type of bicycle set out in Section B14-42.3.

(c) Electric Bicycles are exempt from subsection (a) of this Section when the user complies with the operation standards for any type of bicycle set out in Section B14-42.3.

Sec. B14-33.2. - Parking.

(a) No unauthorized device, Drone, Motorized Device, Motor Vehicle, Vessel, Model Craft, bicycle, Electric Bicycle, Motorized Bicycle, or cycle of any type or design shall be left standing, whether attended or unattended, in the following areas:

(1) In any Park Area after posted park hours.

(2) At any time on any trail or in any area not expressly designated for such use.

(3) At any time in front of a public or private road or driveway entrance.

(4) In any limited parking area for a period of time longer than the posted limit.

(5) At any time in any passenger or commercial loading zone.

(b) All Motor Vehicles, Vessels, and Motorized Devices parked or left standing on any Park Property must be positioned entirely within a parking space.

(c) No Motor Vehicle, Vessel or Motorized Device shall be left standing, whether attended or unattended, on the grounds of any Park Property for the purpose of:

(1) Displaying such Motor Vehicle, Vessel or Motorized Device for sale; or

(2) Servicing, repairing, assembling, disassembling, modifying, or otherwise working on such Motor Vehicle, Vessel, or Motorized Device, except when repairs are necessitated by an emergency.

Sec. B14-33.3. - Speed.

(a) No person shall drive or operate any Motor Vehicle, Vessel, or other Motorized Device in any Park Area at a speed greater than is reasonable or prudent, having due regard for the traffic on and the surface and width of the roadway.

(b) No person shall drive or operate a Motor Vehicle, Vessel, or other Motorized Device in any Park Area at a speed in excess of the posted speed limit or 20 miles per hour if no speed limit is posted.

Sec. B14-33.4. - Registration of motor vehicles and vessels.

No Motor Vehicle, Vessel, or Motorized Device shall be driven, operated, moved, or left standing in any Park area if it is not currently registered in accordance with the provisions and requirements of the California Vehicle Code.

This Article is not applicable to any state or County highway.
