6.24.010 License - Required - Conditions. ¶

Every person desiring to engage in the business of selling Christmas trees upon any lot within the city shall apply to the city license collector for a license, and said license when issued shall not be assignable or transferable nor permit anyone other than the person named in said license or his employee or employees to carry on the business by virtue of the license issued to any such licensee. (Prior code § 6240.1.)

6.20.050 Permit - Fee. ¶

Every person issued a permit under this chapter shall pay a permit fee as set forth in the schedule of fees established by resolution of the city council, said fee to defray the costs of processing applications.

6.20.060 Appeal from denial of permit. ¶

An applicant whose application has been denied by the chief of police shall have the right, within ten days thereafter, to appeal such decision in writing, stating the grounds therefor, to the code enforcement appeals commission. Said commission shall hold a hearing thereon within a reasonable time from and after the date of such appeal, and the decision of said commission thereon shall be final. 6.20.070 Permit - Suspension and revocation conditions. ¶

Sections 6.02.170 to 6.02.190, inclusive, of this Code, shall be applicable to this chapter. (Prior code § 6211.7.)

6.24.020 License - Deposit required. ¶

No license shall be issued for the sale of Christmas trees upon any lot within the city unless the applicant shall first have deposited with the city license collector the amount set forth in the schedule of fees established by resolution of council to insure the removal by licensee or his employees of any and all rubbish, garbage and debris of any kind from the lot upon which the Christmas tree sales were conducted within forty-eight hours upon and after the conclusion of such sales by licensee. 6.24.030 License - Fee. ¶

The license fee for the business of selling Christmas trees upon any lot in the city, as hereinabove provided, shall be as set forth in the schedule of fees established by resolution of council. (Prior code § 6240.3; Ord. 21285.)

6.24.040 Exception to chapter applicability. ¶

The provisions of this chapter shall not apply to the sale of Christmas trees upon any lot within

the city where an established business other than the sale of Christmas trees is already being conducted.
