§ 12.2301 Clerk of the Board of Supervisors.

Pursuant to Government Code § 25100.5, the Clerk of the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Bernardino, shall be appointed by the Board of Supervisors in the same manner as other County officers are appointed. Henceforth, the Clerk of the Board of Supervisors shall be independent from the County Clerk. (Ord. 1637, passed - -1971)

§ 12.2302 Clerk of Board Responsible to Board of Supervisors.

The Clerk of the Board of Supervisors shall be responsible for the operations of the department. (Ord. 1637, passed - -1971; Am. Ord. 2413, passed - -1980)

§ 12.2303 Duties of Clerk of the Board of Supervisors.

The Clerk of the Board of Supervisors shall perform all duties related to the following activities and functions: (a) Applications for licenses/permits; (b) Sale of school and other bonds; (c) Public Safety Authority; (d) Building Authority; (e) Chino Building Authority; (f) Redlands Museum Building Authority; (g) Yucca Valley Community Center Authority; (h) Authority for the Handicapped; (i) Inland Counties Emergency Medical Authority; (j) Assessment Appeals Boards and Hearing Officers; (k) Flood Control District; (l) Roster of Public Agencies; (m) Conflict of Interest Codes; (n) Administering of Oaths; (o) Certification of County Ordinances and Resolutions and Certification of Ordinances and Resolutions of Special Districts governed by Board of Supervisors; (p) Accept claims and service on behalf of County; (q) Other duties and responsibilities of the Clerk required by law; (r) Filing of all papers required or permitted to be filed with the County Clerk by the California Environmental Quality Act, Public Resources Code §§ 21000 and following.
