2.96.010 Established.

Pursuant to the provisions of Section 7261.6 of the Government Code of the state of California there is established a central relocation office for the city. (Prior code § 60.12.100)

2.96.020 Name.

The central relocation office for the city shall be known as the Sacramento central relocation office, herein referred to in this chapter as "the relocation office." (Prior code § 60.12.101)

2.96.030 Administration.

The city delegates to the redevelopment agency of the city the authority and responsibility for administration of the relocation office. If the redevelopment agency agrees to accept said delegation, the relocation office shall provide on be-half of the city all relocation services required of the city pursuant to Title I, Part 7, Chapter 16 of the Government Code of the state of California. The terms and conditions under which said services shall be provided and the compensation to be provided to the redevelopment agency therefore shall be determined by agreement between the city and the redevelopment agency. 2.96.040 General authority.

Subject to the terms and conditions of such agreement as may be executed by the city and the redevelopment agency under the provisions of Section 2.96.030 of this chapter, the relocation office shall have all of the rights, privileges, duties and liabilities prescribed by Section 7261.6 of the Government Code. The primary purpose of said office shall be to coordinate the planning and execution of the relocation of all persons and families displaced by public entities having jurisdiction within the city and to assure that the requirements of law relating to provisions of relocation assistance and assistance housing are fulfilled in the manner required by law.
