2.56.010 Creation of board.¶
The Sacramento relocation appeals board is established. (Prior code § 60.13.110)
2.56.020 Function of the board.¶
The function of the Sacramento relocation appeals board shall be:
A. To act as the relocation appeals board created in the city under the provisions of the Community Redevelopment Law of the state of California as set forth in Article XI, Chapter 4, Part I, Division 24 (Section 33417.5) of the Health and Safety Code.
B. To act as the relocation appeals board pursuant to the "regulations of the city of Sacramento for relocation assistance to displaced persons, families, business and farm operations," effective January 1, 1974, adopted by the city council in compliance with statutes of 1972, Chapter 1307. 2.56.030 Members of the board.¶
The board shall consist of five members of the Sacramento housing and redevelopment commission to be appointed by the mayor with the approval of the city council. The term of office for each such member of the board shall coincide with that member's term of office as a member of the Sacramento housing and redevelopment commission. Members shall receive all actual and necessary expenses, including travel expenses, incurred in the discharge of their duties. (Prior code § 60.13.112)
2.56.040 Chairperson and organization of the board.¶
The mayor with the approval of the city council shall appoint the first chairperson of the board from among its members. When there is a vacancy in the office of chairperson, the commission shall elect a chairperson from among its members. A majority of the members of the board shall determine the time, place and frequency of its meetings, and adopt rules of procedure for the conduct of board hearings and business. The board shall act only by a majority vote of all members. The board may do any other things necessary or proper to carry out its functions. (Prior code § 60.13.113)
